The shipping rates on this website are only estimates and may be adjusted at the time your order is processed. You may be contacted at that time regarding additional shipping charges.
Please note, any order placed on our website that contains “special instructions” or “order notes” may be delayed. These orders must be reviewed by an EDL salesperson before being processed in the system. All orders received after 2:00pm EST will be processed on the next business day.
Please note, expedited shipping pertains to days in transit – not days in production or production time frames. We offer expedited production times, but additional expediting fees will apply.
EDL’s standard lead time for industrial sensors & instruments in the general catalog is one week. However, we can ship most stock orders within 24-48 hours of the order being placed – – if there are no payment verification issues. In some cases, your order may even be shipped the same day without an expediting charge, however there is no guarantee. Your estimated ship date will show on the Sales Order Acknowledgment you will receive by email from the sales team when your order is placed. Again, please note expeditated shipping does not expedite production. For guaranteed expedited production orders you must call 434.799.0807 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and work with one of our helpful sales representatives to work out all the particulars.
All shipments are F.O.B. shipping point. Orders are shipped Monday through Friday via UPS. All items are stocked and shipped from our headquarters in Danville, Virginia. We make every effort to ship each order in a timely fashion and tend to under promise and over deliver. We will only ship via FedEx if specifically instructed to do so. UPS is our preferred carrier and unless specifically requested will be who we use. Please note delivery times are only estimate and EDL shall not be liable for any delays. Delivery to remote locations such as Hawaii, Alaska, or Guam may require additional time. Certain packages will require a signature for delivery. You may select to let the driver leave the package without a signature by completing and signing the Delivery Notice that will be left at your door after the first delivery attempt.
Please note that if you sign for the package to be left without a signature, you are taking responsibility for the delivery and neither UPS nor EDL will provide a replacement or reimbursement for the goods if they are taken, lost, or damaged.
All shipments must be inspected upon receipt for both damage and shortages. It is imperative we are notified immediately of any problems/ It is also imperative you retain all Packaging and Packaging material in order to initiate a claim for damage during shipping. Please inspect the package for any visible signs of damage, and even if no visible signs are present, all shipping boxes and containers, and packaging material must be kept in order to submit the claim.
EDL will happily ship using your shipper account information. Please select the “No Payment Necessary” option as the payment terms and contact us at email@example.com or call 434.7499.0807 to provide your shipper account number and any special instructions there may be. You may also include your shipper account number in the special notes section of the checkout and we can further assist!
