Surface Transfer Standard (STS) Calibrator for Surface Sensors

Operating and monitoring equipment at the correct temperature is critical in almost every application/manufacturing process. And temperature is one of the most essential parameters to measure during manufacturing. Even a few degrees too hot or cold can lead to disastrous outcomes. Your equipment and processes must function accurately to deliver your products or services with excellence and safety.

EDL’s family of STS calibrators is designed to test any surface-style sensor and comes pre-programmed and ready to use straight out of the box. Using an STS guarantees consistency, accuracy, and precision of every industrial and lab application’s sensor accuracy. If your requirements fall outside our standard offerings, we will engineer a custom calibrator to meet your specific needs—we do this regularly.

All EDL STS calibrators are available as a reference system. Each unit has a precision-drilled hole to accommodate an external PRT (Platinum Resistance Thermometer) tailored to the specific block size ordered (sold separately).

When ordering your STS, you may purchase the reference system if you desire added traceability. We will calibrate the PRT and all items in the system with your STS, enhancing the accuracy and traceability of your entire calibration process. We provide this calibration service initially and then annually.

General Use STS Calibrators with 2” Testing Surfaces

These easy-to-use 2” testing blocks replace less-than-accurate hot plates and offer a true, evenly-heated surface for a real calibration of Surface Sensors. These units are available in low- and high-temperature options. Fast cool-down and heat-up times provide great flexibility, allowing for more diverse surface sensor testing and daily adjustments to your testing calibration temperatures. iTools comes standard with any STS purchase.
