STS Certification Training
Through our STS Certification Training, you will gain a firm understanding of what a thermocouple is, why it is important to calibrate it, and how to test your thermocouple (Or Surface Sensor & E-Z Probe) to ensure accurate equipment is constantly in rotation at your facility. You will also learn the importance of properly calibrating Surface Sensors using the EDL Surface Transfer Standard (STS)*. A portion of the course is dedicated to discussing what to do if a sensor shows a problem during testing, and how to examine the sensor for physical damage.
*The STS is a verified heat source designed to replace hot places for testing sensor accuracy, providing a stable and uniform surface that allows customers to conduct NIST traceable calibration of virtually any Surface Sensor (in virtually any temperature range, as models can cover a large temperature range).
