Pocket-Probe® Digital Pyrometer

The Pocket-Probe® Pyrometer was initially designed—and named—to be lab grade and ideal for lab coat pockets. Today, this high-resolution, highly accurate instrument is used around the world in manufacturing, food & beverage, oil & gas, automotive, and more. The Pocket-Probe® Digital Pyrometer is engineered to be rugged and reliable while delivering temperature measurements with 1/10% accuracy, 1/10% resolution, and 1/2% repeatability. These pyrometers feature full-range measurements and offer 0.1 ° resolution up to 199.9 °F or °C. Plus, you’ll get three readings per second—that’s more readings, faster, than most instruments on the market.

Perfect for use on the production floor, in the lab, or as part of our calibration reference systems, our standard Pocket-Probe® is housed in a sturdy ABS / Nylon case (also available with an extra tough Steel Case). Made in the USA, Pocket-Probe® pyrometers are constructed from the finest materials available and are backed with an unconditional 5-year warranty.

Durable, sturdy, and reliable, this instrument withstands the toughest field use. In fact, because EDL products are made with military-grade electronics, noise immunity comes standard for stable, uniform readings. And because it’s molded in-house (in the USA) from rugged ABS Nylon, EDL controls the form, strength, & quality—and that is something we never compromise.

To withstand harsh environments & for easy cleaning, Pocket-Probe® Pyrometers come standard with a tempered glass display window & cover, so you can operate the unit while closed. Shatterproof Lexan windows are available, which are a great option for the food industry, eliminating any risk of glass shards.

The maximum temperature for Thermocouple Type T is 400 ºC.

All EDL Pyrometers come with a complimentary General Calibration performed in the production department. This calibration involves checking the unit (without your specific sensor) at key temperature points using our calibrators to ensure accuracy. We also offer NIST Traceable Calibration through our lab, which includes stickers and a calibration certificate. The calibration cost covers both the sensor and the pyrometer. You can choose your preferred calibration temperature point or a Lab-Determined point based on your industry requirements.
