Pocket-Probe® Digital Pyrometer (Steel Case)

Accurate, Repeatable, & Exact (and Available)

The Pocket-Probe® Pyrometer was initially designed to be used in the lab and to easily fit into lab coat pockets. Today, this high-resolution and highly accurate instrument is used worldwide across various industries, including a range of manufacturing from plastics to food & beverage, oil & gas to automotive. The Pocket-Probe® Digital Pyrometer encased in Steel is built to be rugged and reliable while delivering temperature measurements with an accuracy of 0.1%, a resolution of 0.1%, and a repeatability of 0.5%. These pyrometers offer full-range measurements with a resolution of 0.1 °F or °C up to 199.9 °. Additionally, you can expect three readings per second—more readings and faster than most instruments on the market.

Durable, sturdy, and reliable beyond compare, this instrument can withstand the toughest field conditions. Because EDL products are made with military-grade electronics, noise immunity is standard, ensuring stable and uniform readings. Additionally, since the pyrometers are made of steel, EDL guarantees they will outperform other pyrometer options that exist on the market. Our name and products are synonymous with quality—something we never compromise on.

These instruments are suitable for use on the production floor, in the lab, or as part of our calibration reference systems. Made in the USA, Pocket-Probe® pyrometers are constructed from high-quality materials and are backed by an unconditional 5-year warranty.

To endure harsh environments and facilitate easy cleaning, Pocket-Probe® Pyrometers come with a tempered glass display window and cover, allowing operation while the unit is closed. For the food industry, shatterproof Lexan windows are also available, eliminating the risk of glass shards. If the extra-tough steel case is too much for what you need, we always offer our standard Pocket-Probe® which comes in a sturdy ABS/Nylon case.

Sensors for this product are sold separately.

The maximum temperature for Thermocouple Type T is 400 ºC.

All EDL Pyrometers come with a complimentary General Calibration performed in the production department. This calibration involves checking the unit (without your specific sensor) at key temperature points using our calibrators to ensure accuracy. We also offer NIST Traceable Calibration through our lab, which includes stickers and a calibration certificate. The calibration cost covers both the sensor and the pyrometer. You can choose your preferred calibration temperature point or a Lab-Determined point based on your industry requirements.
