Description
The EDL Mini-Wand Sensor was designed with accuracy and speed in mind. The sensing portion of the
sensor is constructed from Stainless Steel and special limit Thermocouple wire. The principle operation of a Mini-Wand sensor is based on the Third Law of Thermocouples, and its output is quite repeatable, stable and accurate. Mini-Wands are available in various lengths, angles, diameters, and Thermocouple types. The various lengths and angles are available to make it easier for the user to apply the sensor in the easiest and most reliable way. Mini-wands must be at 90° to the surface being measured.
Mini-Wand Sensors are rated for operation up to 535 °C (1000 °F). The design allows them to be used down to -100 °C. Ideal for use on complex dies, webs, fins, small holes or slots, and more industrial applications. These sensors feature a small low mass heat collector tip that delivers extremely accurate readings on small, thick, or low mass objects.
