Low Temp Needle Sensor

EDL’s Standard Needle Sensors are expertly handcrafted and available in 3 styles for virtually any application (a favorite of the glass and plastics/rubber industries): blunt, center sharp, and hypodermic sharp. These Sensors are handcrafted from durable, full-hard hypodermic stainless steel in the needle section, ensuring reliability and durability. They feature a robust 5/16” diameter ceramic handle, enhanced with a stainless-steel insert for added strength. Our low-temperature needles can easily monitor temperatures up to 600 °F, while for those more challenging situations involving high temperatures, our insulated needles are available, featuring magnesium oxide (MgO) or alumina, and can confidently handle temperatures up to 1500 °F, depending on the thermocouple type used. We can customize as needed and supply you with longer or different lead and termination options—not included online. Contact EDL by phone or email sales@edl-inc.com and explore the possibilities with EDL.

Note: For Needles more than 6” in length, add $5.00 per inch. It is recommended for sensors longer than 12” to have extra lead length. An unground option may experience extended lead times. To order with these options, please contact our helpful sales team at sales@edl-inc.com or call us.
