We can make them in virtually any length or diameter—available in low and high temperature configurations with three tip styles: reinforced blunt, reinforced center sharp, and reinforced hypodermic sharp. Also available in the reinforced fine version in the above styles.

Low Temp Needle Sensor Reinforced

EDL’s Standard and Fine Needle Sensors are available with either a higher-gauge stainless steel sheath or heavy-wall construction. We can manufacture these sensors in any length or diameter you need. Still, our standard offering for the Reinforced Needle are lengths up to 6” (for longer length needles, call or email) and in the Reinforced Fine Version with lengths up to 4” (for longer length needles, simply call or email); and in diameters ranging from 0.020” to 0.072”! If something outside this standard range is required, please get in touch with our helpful sales team.

Our Standard Reinforced Needle Sensors (including Reinforced Fine versions) are offered in low and high temperature configurations, reaching temperatures up to 1500 °F. You can choose from grounded and ungrounded styles (call for ungrounded not provided on website) and select from three tip options: reinforced blunt tip, reinforced center sharp tip, or reinforced hypodermic sharp tip. All our tips are handcrafted to ensure precise shaping and consistent quality, and our sensors are designed to exceed your expectations.

Please exercise caution when ordering hypodermic sharp tips, as they are incredibly sharp and capable of penetrating various materials. While we can create sensors of any length, we recommend using longer leads with longer needles for added flexibility and ease of use. The standard sensor is equipped with our proprietary lead: standard 32″ thermocouple-grade stranded #20-gauge wire, which is Teflon®-insulated and twisted with stainless steel overbraid. Contact our helpful sales team if you need something other than what is offered here (for instance, a 12″ needle with a 55” lead).
