Versatile Surface Sensor (SVS-)
Versatile surface sensors use a convex band design with four movement restrictors, the hardened Stainless steel band with fast acting thermocouple are capable of fast, efficient measurements. The all stainless steel construction is resistant to normal day to day abuses that will damage other types of Surface sensors.
• Designed to minimize amount of heat removed from surface under test.
• Unique thermocouple strain relief loop improves accuracy and
allows additional flexibility for band junction.
• Stainless steel restrictive bands allow for constant application.
• The band flexes to fit any surface contour.

To make a part # pick the SVS-, then choose either 08 or 12, now choose the thermocouple type and add an E, J, K, or T, and finally decide on your termination M, P, C, L, U or A, The E and the R are for the ERT style sensor and the RT style sensor. All combinations are $78.00 except for the E and the R terminations, both of them are $58.00.
A few examples;
SVS-08EP, this would be used on an Analog instrument $78.00.
SVS-12EM, this would work on a Digital instrument $78.00.
